Job Summary

Delivery Personnel are responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to customers. This role involves loading, transporting, and unloading products while maintaining excellent customer service. Delivery personnel must also ensure that all deliveries are handled in a safe manner, adhere to traffic laws, and manage proper documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivery & Transport:
  • • Load, transport, and deliver goods to customers or businesses on time.
  • • Ensure safe handling and delivery of products, avoiding damage during transit.
  • • Use navigation tools or route plans to determine the best routes for delivery.
  • Maintain clear communication with the logistics team to ensure smooth deliveries.
• Customer Interaction:
  • • Greet customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • • Obtain delivery confirmation by collecting signatures or verifying order details.
  • • Address customer questions or concerns about the delivery.
• Safety & Vehicle Maintenance:
  • • Operate delivery vehicles safely, adhering to all traffic laws and safety guidelines.
  • • Perform routine checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it's in good condition (fuel levels, tire pressure, brakes, etc.).
  • • Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately.
• Inventory & Documentation:
  • • Verify and inspect items before delivery to ensure they are complete and in good condition.
  • • Keep accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times, items delivered, and any issues encountered.
  • Manage delivery-related paperwork, such as invoices and receipts.
• General Duties:
  • • Assist with warehouse duties when not delivering, such as packing or organizing inventory.
  • • Ensure timely and efficient deliveries, while maintaining flexibility for unexpected changes in schedule.
