Job Summary

A Construction Worker is responsible for performing various physical tasks on construction sites to assist in the building and repair of structures. This role involves working with tools, machinery, and materials to complete a wide range of construction-related activities. Construction workers must follow safety guidelines and work closely with other team members to meet project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Preparation:
    • • Prepare construction sites by clearing debris and hazardous materials.
    • • Load and unload building materials and distribute them to appropriate locations.
    • • Set up and take down scaffolding, ladders, and temporary structures.
  • Building & Installation:
    • • Assist in building structures, such as walls, foundations, and frameworks, by following blueprints and technical drawings.
    • • Operate or assist with heavy machinery, such as forklifts, cranes, and drills.
    • • Install windows, doors, roofing materials, or other components as required by the project.
  • Demolition & Cleanup:
    • • Demolish existing structures in preparation for new construction.
    • • Clean up construction sites at the end of the day, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • • Follow all safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as helmets, gloves, and safety boots.
    • • Adhere to safety regulations on-site and report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the supervisor.
    • • Ensure that all tasks comply with building codes and regulations.
  • General Duties:
    • • Assist skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, as needed.
    • • Mix and pour concrete or asphalt for structures such as roads, foundations, and walkways.
    • • Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in construction or related field (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools and power equipment.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Good understanding of construction processes and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.

Working Hours

8-10 hours/day + Paid Overtime
